Our hostel has three floors, each consisting of 15 rooms with a total of 48 rooms in the Wing I - Hostel, accommodating 3 students in each room. As the strength increased, an additional hostel was constructed with 71 rooms, with an accommodation capacity of 213 students in the year 2002. The residents of the hostel are provided with furniture and amenities such as chairs, tables, cupboards, lights and fans. Our HOSTEL have a separate sick room, store room, washing room, reading rooms and wardens room.


The following newspapers and magazines are provided for the students in the hostel to update their knowledge of current affairs:

  • Times of India
  • Daily Thanthi
  • Dina Malar

    A 24 hours security is provided for both boys and girls hostels. A separate lady security is provided to ladies hostel from 7 pm to 7 am.


    We have 24 hours water supply in the hostel with the help of 5 bore well systems. Water tank is periodically checked and cleaned. The Water Doctor filter has been installed in the HOSTEL to provide purified drinking water.


    Mess facilities are available for boys and girls HOSTEL with delicious vegetarian Indian food at a nominal cost. Tea, Coffee and Snacks are provided in the evening to the residents.


    We have Solar Water Heaters in the hostel campus with a capacity of 2500 litres. Hot water is provided in the morning to the residents. Moreover three geysers are available in each hostel to meet unfavorable weather conditions and emergencies.


    Separate sports facilities for Cricket, Volley ball, Football, Basket ball, Hockey, Kabadi, kho kho, Badminton etc., have been provided to the hostel students. Indoor games facilities are also provided.


    Study time in HOSTEL give an added advantage as they are expected to be deeply immersed in their lessons. Study time is monitored by the warden on a daily basis.


    The college operates a shuttle van service for hostelites throughout the week. A driver resides in the quarters inside the college campus 24 hours to take the students to a hospital in case of emergencies during nights.


    The following is the general time schedule followed in the HOSTEL

  • Breakfast : 6:30 a.m. to 07:45 a.m.
  • Lunch : 12:00 noon. – 1:45 p.m. (for MBA) 1:15 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
  • Tea Refreshment : 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Dinner : 7:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.

  • Breakfast : 07:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Lunch : 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Tea Refreshment : 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Dinner : 7:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
  • Visiting Time for Parents and Guests 8.00 am and 5.00 pm (Only on Sundays). On other holidays with prior permission


    Ragging is prohibited seriously in the hostel and college campus. We are taking severe action on the students who involve themselves in ragging. The following act of TN legislative assembly has received the assent of Governor on 14th February 1997 and reproduced below: Act No.706 1997 TN prohibition of ragging act 1997. To avoid ragging, teaching staff members are appointed as vigilance officers during the initial stage to assist the wardens. Thus it takes away the fear of ragging and provides a calm atmosphere for the freshers.


    DISCIPLINE The format of the rules and regulations for the students residing in the HOSTEL is signed by both the parents and students during the time of admission. In case of violation of any of the rules the individual student will be handed over to the discipline committee for further action.


    The hostel has 24 hours power supply. We use generators in our campus, during power shutdowns. A well-trained electrician and plumber have been appointed separately for the HOSTEL and we have provided them with living quarters.


    Every year, Freshers day and Friendship day are celebrated. The farewell party for the outgoing students is also given by the junior inmates of the HOSTEL. Hostel students enjoy the privilege of going for picnics to leisure spots.


    The college has its own dish antenna. All the HOSTEL are provided with television sets. A few channels are made available and are operated by the wardens for the students' entertainment.


    Common medicines are provided to the hostel residents in case of fever or any minor injuries.


    There is a hostel committee which deals with the welfare of the hostel. It comprises of the Principal, wardens and teaching staff members as conveners with student committee members. Meetings are held frequently regarding development, maintenance and functioning of the HOSTEL and mess.
