Republic Day is celebrated to commemorate the date on which our country established its own democratic rule after the Independence. On 26th January 1950 our nation replaced Government of India Act and Constitution of India was brought into effect. The date is celebrated as Republic Day throughout the country. SNMV College of Arts and Science also celebrates the day each year in a grand manner. In 2013, Republic Day was celebrated at our College on 26.01.2013 at 9:00 am. Shri Ashok Lunia, the Secretary, hoisted the National Flag. This was followed by a spectacular March Past by NSS volunteers. Shri M. M. Bhuradia, Vice President, Shri Kanaklal Abhaichand, Past President, Principal and Vice Principal graced the occasion with their presence. In 2014, Republic Day was celebrated at our College on 26.01.2014 at 8:30 am. Shri Ashok Lunia, Secretary of the College, hoisted the National Flag. This was followed by a March Past by NSS volunteers and NCC Cadets. Shri M.M.Bhuradia, Vice President graced the occasion with his presence. Patriotic cultural programmes were presented by the students including speeches in English, Tamil and Hindi, dances, skits and songs. Prizes and certificates were handed over to the winners of various Competitions by the Secretary and Vice President. The College celebrated the 66th Republic Day on January 26th, 2015. Shri M. M. Bhuradia, Vice-President, and Shri Ashok Kumar, Secretary, felicitated the gathering after a March Past by NSS volunteers and NCC Cadets, and exhorted the students to live up to the ideals of our freedom fighters and be responsible citizens. The prizes for the winners of English Elocution, Tamil Elocution, Hindi Elocution, Patriotic Dance, Movie Making, and Facial Painting were distributed. The College celebrated the 67th Republic Day on January 26th, 2016. Vice-President, Shri M. M. Bhuradia and Joint Secretary, Shri Bharathkumar Jaghamani, felicitated the gathering, and encouraged the students to live up to the ideals of our freedom fighters and to be responsible citizens. As a part of celebrations Patriotic Programmes such as Patriotic Dances, Songs, Mime, Speeches and Movie Making were the highlights. The prizes and the certificates for the winners of Tamil Elocution, English Elocution, Patriotic Dances and Movie making were handed over to the winners of the competitions by the dignitaries. On 26th January 2017, SNMV celebrated the 68th Republic Day. Shri M.M.Bhuradia, Vice President, hoisted the flag and delivered the Presidential address, stating the importance of the day. The Chief Guest, Dr. K. Ramasamy, Advocate, Retired Professor, PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore put forward his ideas by stating how India became a Republic. Shri. Bharathkumar Jaghamani, Secretary, graced the occasion with his presence and felicitated the gathering. Shri.Mahaveer Bothra, Joint Secretary of the college, graced the occasion with his presence.
